Universe K-pop fandom app updates, to hold Uni-Kon concert in Seoul with 20 artists – Reuters

Global game developer and publisher NCSoft’s Fandom Universe app has been upgraded with user convenience, custom designs and performance.

Universe is available for iOS and Android in 233 countries around the world. It has over 21 million downloads, almost 90% of which come from outside South Korea.

Since its launch in January 2021, Universe has incorporated user feedback to improve the user interface and user experience, as well as advance key features.

The new version has also reduced the overall size of the app to improve its speed. The biggest changes are to the main page, with four categories – Home, Discover, Message, and My – allowing for more convenient access to each feature.

Fans can now easily view the latest artist news and events, chat with their favorite artists and other fans, and view activity history in a more intuitive setup.

To mark the update, NCSoft is offering a one-month free trial of the universe membership. There will also be newly edited versions of the popular Universe Originals, including music, photo shoots, radio and entertainment series. Those who take quizzes and post reviews can receive Uni-Kon tickets or AirPods as gifts.

Meanwhile, NCSoft will also host the second Uni-Kon concert on July 2-3, a K-Pop festival featuring artists from the Universe platform to be held live in Seoul.

K-pop artists performing at this year’s festival are ASTRO, ATEEZ, The Boyz, CIX, Cravity, Drippin, Epex, Ghost9, Ive, Jo Yuri, Kep1er, Lightsum, Park Jihoon, SF9, WEi, Weki Meki, WJSN, Wonho, Yena and Younite.
